The Opportunity

This is an exciting time to join WCCCA in this newly created part time position. This position will review, evaluate, measure, and report on Agency processes, systems and staffing in order to assist management and staff in meeting established goals and objectives. This position will develop reports and metrics as well as implement tracking and reporting systems in conjunction with the Performance Supervisor. We are interested in professionals who excel in understanding the needs of a 911 Dispatch Center and apply that to reports and metrics to improve our service to citizens and users. This is part time (approximately 20 hours per week, prorated benefits eligible), non-exempt position reporting to the Performance Supervisor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:

  • Determine Agency objective by studying business functions; gathering information;evaluating measurement and report requirements and formats.
  • Study system capabilities; write specifications; document workflow and processes using spreadsheets,databases, charts and diagrams.
  • Recommend measurement controls by identifying problems; recommend improvements to processes and procedures.
  • Monitor Agency identified objectives by tracking and measuring activities and related outcomes; resolving problesm; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Perform, daily, weekly, and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports.
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that hilights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.

  • Required Qualifications:

    A Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience and a minimum of 1 year of data analysis and reporting. Experience with Access and/or SQL or other related database querying programs.

    Knoweldge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of emergency response organizations and dispatch operations; familiarity with emergency operational protocols for police, fire and emergency medical services preferred.
  • Skill to utilize broad technology applications in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods and techniques, research, analysis, and reporting.
